We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable People Manager to join a manufacturing business playing a key role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.
In this role, you'll provide expert support across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, coaching managers, and enhancing people processes. Reporting directly into the CEO you will drive continuous improvement, ensure legal compliance, and build effective, people-focused HR practices.
- Provide timely, expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and conflict matters
- Coach managers to confidently handle people issues and apply HR policies consistently
- Track absence trends and support strategies to improve attendance
- Review, update, and implement HR policies in line with legislation and best practice
- Support policy rollouts and ensure clear communication
- Support learning and development data, tracking, and compliance
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR and employment law compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and templates
- Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning
- Experienced in a People Manager or similar UK HR role
- Strong expertise in employee relations and UK employment law
- Skilled in problem-solving and applying HR practice to real business situations
- Credible, influential, and confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Empathetic, collaborative, and committed to delivering an exceptional employee experience
- Background in manufacturing, retail, or people-centric environments is advantageous
